The Infamous Stringdusters play Friday, May 6th at the Bowery Ballroom. The Two Man Gentlemen Band opens.
This segment of WNYC Soundcheck’s ‘best live performances of 2010’ includes performances by soul and R&B singer Aaron Neville, Texas country-rockers the Old 97s, Nashville-bred songwriter Justin Townes Earle and the Vaudeville swing duo known as Two Man Gentlemen Band. The Gentlemen are playing Brooklyn on January 28th at the fabulous Jalopy Theatre.

Park Slope’s Southpaw presents the Two Man Gentlemen Band along with ragtime blues and riverboat kings Pokey LaFarge for a CD release celebration for the new album from Paleface on October 16th. After opening for the Avett Brothers on October 13th at Radio City Music Hall, Paleface should be in good spirits. Also playing is Chris Cubeta and the Liars Club.

On Wednesday, August 18th, Jalopy’s weekly Roots ‘n’ Ruckus takes to the waves on board the Mary A. Whalen at Pier 11 in Red Hook. They’ve put quite the show together for this field trip- the Two Man Gentlemen Band will headline, along with Brooklyn faves Mamie Minch and Dayna Kurtz, pianist Stephanie Nilles, and Feral Foster. When is the last time you got to see a show on a 2,800 square foot cargo ship? More info at the Pier 11 website, including directions. This should be a fine Brooklyn night- you poor Manhattan folk can probably get to this venue via the Ikea water taxi.
